We’re bringing History Live! to life this weekend with an English Civil War battle!

Experience 2,000 years of history this weekend at this flagship event as the Earl of Manchester’s Regiment of Foote and the Sealed Knot bring the Battle of Marston Moor to life in a dramatic re-enactment!

We are at Kelmarsh Hall in the heart of Northamptonshire for a live-action historical blockbuster – more than 2,000 re-enactors and performers will bring the story of England to life over one action-packed weekend.

Open from 9.30am to 6pm, this promises to be an outstanding weekend of entertainment that will keep the entire family enthralled – plus you’ll get to see a re-enactment of one of the key battles in the history of the Earl of Manchester’s regiment, Marston Moor in 1644!

With thrilling battles, spectacular displays, living encampments from Roman times to the Second World War, silly jesters, gladiators and jousting, there’s non-stop entertainment throughout the weekend. Kids will enjoy all the fun of the Victorian Fair, plus cave painting, the chance to become a knight, and even a ride in our hobby horse joust. With live music, food stalls, a real ale bar and an historic market, there’s a festival atmosphere at History Live! for everyone to enjoy.
