Wassail! We’re preparing for a great 2012 of re-enacting!

The compliments of the season to you all!

Since the whirlwind of the summer months, it’s been a (relatively) quiet off-season for regiment – but we’re already gearing up to bring a little warmth to the midwinter months. Our 30th anniversary banquet in November was a sumptuous affair, with much imbibing and bad dancing, and the perfect way to celebrate three decades of the regiment’s existence.

And there’s a fantastic line-up of exciting events emerging for the 2012 season, with everything kicking off at Nantwich in Cheshire on 21st January.

Always the earliest event in the Sealed Knot’s calendar, the 2012 event will mark 40 years of us re-enacting the Battle of Nantwich. Plans are already afoot for a big celebration of the town and its rich history – including a rather funky idea!

So come along and have a great time watching us bring the past to life!

We wish a very happy Christmastide to you all from the Earl of Manchester’s Regiment of Foote!
