Terror and treachery on Tameside – come see us perform at Debdale Park this Sunday!



Cannon will roar, muskets will fire and the English Civil War will come to life in Manchester this weekend!

Visitors to Debdale Park in Gorton will be transported back to the 17th century this Sunday (24th July) when the Earl of Manchester’s Regiment sets up camp at Gorton Festival. Our living history camp will be open from 11.30am to 4.30pm, and then we will be 

Meet the soldiers, see how they lived, watch demonstrations of military drill and authentic cooking – then follow the action as Royalist prisoners attempt to escape from the Roundheads!

Our display will be part of the annual Gorton Festival, which takes place from 12pm – 4pm and will also include bowling competitions, a dog-show, music, sports, BMX displays and stalls run by local community groups.
