PHOTOS: Leeds goes back in time to the 17th Century!

Cannon boomed, muskets fired, youngsters found themselves signing up to fight for Parliament – and one or two people found themselves in the stocks! The courtyard outside the Royal Armouries resounded to the sights, sounds and smells of the English Civil War, with members of the Earl of Manchester’s Regiment of Foote bringing to life the people of the time.

A massive thank you from the regiment to all those who came along and watched us, applauded at our displays and enjoyed the day at such a great venue. We had a great time – we hope you did too!
