Temple Newsam transformed!

Well, what a weekend!

A big thank you to all the members of the public who came to our event at Temple Newsam at the weekend. Glorious sunshine, enthusiastic crowds and a great family atmosphere made this one of the best events we’ve done.

Hundreds gathered each day to witness displays of arms and a deadly skirmish between Cavalier and Roundhead, after wandering around our 17th Century soldiers’ encampment.

The house and grounds were an incredible setting and a big thank you must go to Leeds City Council and the staff at Temple Newsam for allowing us to stage our event there.

The images above and below are from a gallery of fanatstic photos taken by a member of Exposure Leeds, a photographic group organised through the Flickr photo site. You can find the rest here:

And here’s the on-line coverage given to us by the Yorkshire Post, which ran a huge photo of members Heather, Rebecca and Mark preparing lunch in our encampment.

The feedback from the public was amazing, with many people asking for details of how to sign up. If you came along and are excited by what you saw – just drop us a line at manchesterspr@ymail.com for more info
